Marketing Operations Consultant (Segmentation, Experimentation, 6-Month Contract
We're looking for an experienced Marketing Operations Consultant to jump into a key 6-month project. We're transforming a client's email program into a state-of-the-art, data-driven, and highly personalized engine. If you live and breathe segmentation, testing, and process optimization, this contract is for you. The Role: This is a hands-on, operational role. You'll be the crucial link, taking high-level strategy and turning it into reality. Your day-to-day will involve supporting the team in rolling out a brand-new, centralized operating model. Contract Snapshot: Duration: 6-Month Contract (Start: Jan 2026 – End: June 2026) Capacity: Full-time equivalent (approximately 40 hours/week) Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (T&M basis) What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities): 1. Audience Segmentation: Help build and activate the core audience strategy, including defining strategic and micro-segments, entry/exit rules, and eligibility logic within the client's Marketing Automation Platform. 2. Operational Excellence: Standardize and document key workflows (intake, request, approval, and launch) to make the new centralized execution model run smoothly. Think SOPs, process trackers, and training guides. 3. A/B Testing & Experimentation: Support the creation and deployment of the experimentation framework, including building A/B/n-test plans, defining KPIs, and establishing guardrails for analysis. 4. Content & Data Governance: Assist in standardizing the campaign taxonomy and ensuring data consistency between the Marketing Automation Platform and the data warehouse for accurate reporting. 5. Documentation: Deliver clear, actionable documentation (specs, guides, runbooks) that ensure long-term scalability and consistent execution by the client team. What You Bring: - Proven experience in marketing operations, email segmentation, and A/B/n testing. - Hands-on expertise with a major Marketing Automation Platform (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, etc.). - A strong understanding of data flow between marketing systems and a corporate Data Warehouse. - Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud & project management/workflow tools (e.g., Jira, Airtable, Asana). - Ability to translate complex process and data requirements into clear, simple documentation.
