Mechanic - Remote Alaska
Position Overview We are seeking experienced Mechanics to support operations at remote camps throughout Alaska. This role involves maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment and light vehicles used in field operations. Assignments, schedules, and specific equipment will vary depending on project needs. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and light vehicles • Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment problems • Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records • Coordinate with field and operations personnel to minimize equipment downtime • Follow established safety practices and procedures in all work activities Qualifications • Proven experience working as a mechanic on heavy equipment and/or light vehicles • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and equipment servicing practices • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in remote environments • Effective communication and teamwork skills • Willingness to work rotational schedules and live in a remote camp setting Work Environment • Remote, camp-based work locations across Alaska • Variable weather and rugged conditions • Rotational schedules depending on project requirements Additional Information • Compensation: Pay based on experience level • This posting is not an immediate hire.
