Medical Editor and Fact Checker
Role Overview We're seeking a meticulous Medical Content Editor to review and enhance our comprehensive peptide dosage guides and therapeutic articles. You'll ensure medical accuracy, verify dosing protocols against current research, and add proper scientific citations to support all clinical claims. This role is critical in maintaining the credibility and safety of our health optimization content. Key Responsibilities Review peptide dosage guides for medical accuracy, ensuring all protocols align with published research Verify dosing information against clinical trials, peer-reviewed studies, and established medical literature Add proper citations using appropriate medical referencing formats (APA, Vancouver, or AMA style) Fact-check all health claims including benefits, side effects, contraindications, and drug interactions Ensure regulatory compliance by reviewing disclaimers and confirming content meets legal requirements Cross-reference stacking protocols and combination therapies with current safety data Update outdated information based on latest research findings and clinical guidelines Flag unsupported claims and work with writers to revise or remove unverifiable content Maintain consistency in medical terminology, dosage units, and concentration calculations Required Qualifications Educational Background: Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacology, biochemistry, nursing, or related field (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSN preferred) Experience: Minimum 3 years editing medical/scientific content or clinical research papers Knowledge: Strong understanding of peptide therapeutics, endocrinology, and/or anti-aging medicine Research Skills: Proficiency with PubMed, Cochrane Library, and other medical databases Citation Expertise: Demonstrated experience with medical citation formats and reference management Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to catch errors in dosage calculations and medical facts Regulatory Awareness: Understanding of FDA guidelines, medical disclaimers, and off-label use considerations Preferred Qualifications Clinical experience with peptide therapies or hormone optimization Published research or peer review experience Familiarity with SEO best practices while maintaining medical integrity Experience with supplements, biologics, or pharmaceutical content Knowledge of international drug regulations and naming conventions What You'll Be Editing Comprehensive peptide dosage protocols (AOD-9604, NAD+, Oxytocin, BPC-157, etc.) Reconstitution and administration guidelines Drug interaction and contraindication sections Clinical benefit claims and mechanism of action descriptions Side effect profiles and safety warnings Stacking/combination therapy recommendations Deliverables Edited articles with tracked changes showing corrections Citation list with DOI links or PubMed IDs for each source Brief accuracy report highlighting any concerns or unsupported claims Suggestions for additional research needed to support specific statements Application Requirements Please submit: Resume highlighting relevant medical editing experience Two samples of medical content you've edited with citations Brief description of your familiarity with peptide therapeutics Your preferred citation management tools and medical databases Why This Role Matters Your expertise will directly impact the safety and effectiveness of information reaching thousands of individuals seeking health optimization through peptide therapy.
