ROLE OVERVIEW: As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will take on a field-based role specifically designed to meet the in-depth, technical information needs of the wider Medical Affairs teams. You will adhere to all governing internal and external requirements, procedures, and laws, consistently demonstrating sound judgment. In this role, you will identify and communicate feedback and insights of strategic importance by facilitating scientific exchange between the industry and the scientific community. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Maintain and effectively communicate deep scientific knowledge. • MSLs will be required to engage in continuous learning to maintain the highest level of technical expertise within the therapeutic area they represent. As a result, the MSL will establish themselves as a reliable, trusted, resource of unbiased, accurate, up-to-date, medical and scientific knowledge. • Excel at customer engagement and support medical/scientific information needs of scientific experts. • This is a field-based customer facing role where the majority of the MSLs time will be spent engaging in mutually beneficial 2-way dialogues with Scientific Experts and clinical experts . Through emotional intelligence and a deep understanding of their customers, MSLs will act as one of the primary interfaces between Lilly medical and scientific experts to deliver the best-in-class customer experiences. • Strategic vision and leadership. THERAPY AREA: In this role as an MSL, you will be responsible for incretin portfolio across therapeutic areas with the main focus on cardiometabolic health. You will provide support both externally and internally, including supporting research studies, congresses, facilitating IITs, and delivering TA training when needed. You will effectively communicate complex data and share meaningful clinical insights gathered from Scientific Experts and Clinical Experts with Lilly medical and cross-functional teams. You will use creative problem-solving skills and leverage internal resources effectively to execute solutions. TERRITORY OWNERSHIP: In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate strategic analysis, territory mapping, planning, and prioritisation to maximize efficiency. You will implement and evaluate a strategic territory plan, prioritizing core MSL activity, and take personal accountability for results. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Masters or Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences (e.g. BSN, RPh, PA, NP) considered with previous pharma industry experience. OR • Advanced degree in Health Sciences (PhD/MD/PharmD/MSc in a medically related field) • Familiarity with health systems, academic communities, medical research, and the medical education system in Denmark. • Relevant cardiometabolic health or incretin clinical experience. • Ability to travel frequently to meet HCPs (driver’s licence required). • Strong ability to comprehend and effectively communicating large amounts of complex scientific content. • Ability to leverage an omnichannel approach in the engagement with external experts to orchestrate personalized engagement based on their preferences. • The highest ethical standards, with a working knowledge of relevant clinical regulations and industry standards including Good Clinical Research Practice, and local pharma code. • Full written and spoken proficiency of Danish & English language PERSON SPECIFICATION: Proactiveness and resiliency in managing complex challenges is essential, along with learning agility and intellectual curiosity within the field of Science/Medicine. You will bring strong teamwork and high emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage in professional relationship-building. You should also demonstrate the ability to work independently and remotely, effectively managing multiple priorities and projects.
