Medical Transcriptionist
Job Details Company Overview Texas Institute for Surgery is a state-of-the-art surgical hospital dedicated to providing exceptional surgical services combined with renowned patient care. Our facility features nine ORs, three pain management/lithotripsy treatment rooms, and CT scan radiology services. Position Purpose The Medical Transcriptionist transcribes, edits, and enters records dictated by providers into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of medical terminology and adheres to Book of Style Medical Transcription standards. Key Responsibilities • Transcribe and edit dictations from healthcare providers • Translate medical abbreviations and ensure compliance with transcription standards • Conduct quality assurance reviews of finished reports • Collaborate with medical records staff to ensure timely transcription of patient records Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Some college preferred • Minimum 4-5 years of medical transcription experience in orthopedics, plastics, cosmetics, and internal medicine • Electronic medical record (EMR) experience required • Advanced computer literacy and excellent interpersonal skills Preferred Skills • Experience with CPSI software • Knowledge of AHDI Book of Style for Medical Transcription • Ability to produce high-quality transcripts with minimal errors Apply tot his job
