The Member Service Representative will work in a fast-paced Communications Center, assisting members with financial products, processing transactions, and providing ethical solutions to help them afford life. Responsibilities LEARN about our members and hear them and understand their situations EDUCATE our members on the ways we can help them afford life PROVIDE meaningful, careful, focused and ethical product solutions PROCESS transactions like transfers and payments with courtesy and consummate professionalism PERFORM advanced transactions like IRAs, CDs, open accounts, wire transfers, and calmly handle disputes GROW with us by immersing in financial industry trends, products, services and technological advances SHARE your knowledge on effective practices, competitive intelligence, and business opportunities STAND shoulder-to-shoulder with our members and your teammates over our peaks and valleys Skills Availability to work any of the three shifts: 8am-6pm (or end of call queue) Monday-Friday, Saturday 9am-1pm, 1 day off during week Tuesday-Thursday; 7:50am-4:50pm Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday Willingness to undergo pre-employment background reviews (components include criminal, employment, address, social security number, motor vehicle record, sex offender, and global sanctions) Ability to work a flexible schedule Monday thru Saturday — 40 hours per week Comfortable and confident recommending and processing financial products like loans Understanding of financial products and services, much like a Relationship Banker or Personal Banker Ability to learn about members and understand their situations Ability to educate members on the ways Canvas can help them afford life Ability to provide meaningful, careful, focused and ethical product solutions Ability to process transactions like transfers and payments with courtesy and professionalism Ability to perform advanced transactions like IRAs, CDs, open accounts, wire transfers, and handle disputes Ability to grow by immersing in financial industry trends, products, services and technological advances Ability to share knowledge on effective practices, competitive intelligence, and business opportunities Ability to work well with others, even when things don't go as planned Ability to embrace change and seek new ways to serve members and the community Innovative and thrives on challenges Authentic and passionate about helping others Enjoy learning and want a career, not just a paycheck Demonstrated service excellence and earned recognition for performance Holds an informal or formal leadership position at current workplace Believes in the ability to change the world for people and is making it happen Multi-lingual capabilities to include Spanish is a plus!
