Membership Development Specialist

This role involves establishing new memberships, providing consultative services to members, and promoting credit union products and services within the school community. Responsibilities Partners with regional contact to maintain existing and develop new relationships and to ensure school contacts are well informed about credit union products and services. Fills in for regional contact when necessary Supports various regions to develop new relationships and to ensure school contacts are well informed about credit union products and services Manages event costs and negation with contacts at assigned events Accountable for obtaining accurate information necessary to open Memberships. Answers Member inquiries and provides information in a timely manner and in accordance with credit union policy Provides consultative services to existing and potential Members regarding credit union products and services by assessing the Member's needs, addressing their concerns and gaining agreement Conducts visits within the school community to promote the Credit Union’s products and services to existing and potential Members for the purpose of increasing Membership and awareness Actively seeks out new relationships within the school community in order to develop new Memberships and increase participation in credit union products and services Executes compelling presentations to large groups of school employees about the benefits of Membership with the credit union Required to attend in-person functions and/or presentations at school campuses, district offices or other off-site locations, after-hours events and weekend functions as necessary Performs other duties as assigned Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions Skills High School Diploma or GED required 1-3 years of previous related experience required Valid CA Driver's License and participation in the CA DMV pull program may be required depending on assignment Superior oral and written communication skills Public speaking skills Self-driven and strong initiative required for all internal team members exhibiting the one-team concept Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred Company Overview Since our founding in 1934, we have been singularly focused on one thing: providing world-class personal service and financial security to our Members.
