About the Role As a Mobile Security Expert at Workwarp, you will be responsible for conducting rigorous security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential security risks. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the security and integrity of our mobile applications, protecting sensitive data, and staying ahead of emerging threats. Key Responsibilities Design and Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications with a focus on security functionality, ensuring the highest standards of security and quality. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new security features, enhancing the overall security posture of our mobile applications. Integration: Collaborate with the core development team to integrate new security features and improvements, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption. Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies and standards, integrating them into our mobile applications to maintain a robust security framework. Security Assessments: Perform comprehensive security assessments on all mobile applications, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing measures to mitigate potential security risks. Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain current knowledge of modern mobile security patterns and trends, ensuring our security practices remain effective and relevant. Essential Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, providing a solid foundation in computer systems and security principles. Experience: More than two years of experience as a mobile application security engineer, with a proven track record of identifying and mitigating security risks in mobile applications. Technical Skills: Familiarity with mobile platform-specific languages such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, and Objective-C, as well as proficiency in using reverse engineering tools like IDA Pro, Ghidra, and Frida. Security Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mobile security techniques, common weaknesses, and mitigations, with a strong understanding of mobile application security principles for both Android and iOS. Cryptographic Principles: Familiarity with cryptographic principles and security sub-systems utilized in mobile applications, ensuring the secure storage and transmission of sensitive data. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player, ensuring effective coordination and issue resolution. Preferred Qualifications Penetration Testing: Experience with penetration testing methodologies and tools, enabling the identification of vulnerabilities and weaknesses in mobile applications. Security Protocols: Knowledge of security protocols and their implementation in mobile applications, ensuring secure data exchange and authentication. Vulnerability Assessment: Experience with vulnerability assessment and risk management, allowing for the prioritization and mitigation of potential security risks. Network Security: Understanding of network security principles and their application in mobile security, ensuring the secure transmission of data. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical skills, security knowledge, and soft skills. Key competencies include: Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, and experience with reverse engineering tools. Security Knowledge: In-depth understanding of mobile security principles, techniques, and common vulnerabilities.
