MRI Technologist: Evening Shift (Full Time)

About the position As an MRI Technologist with Cross Country Allied, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare system by taking medical images of patients for diagnostic purposes using advanced magnetic resonance imaging technology. This travel position is based in Syosset, New York, and is designed for professionals who are eager to explore new environments while providing essential medical services. You will be responsible for preparing patients for MRI scans, operating MRI machines, processing the images for review by radiologists and physicians, and managing patient records. Your expertise will also extend to the use of other radiologic equipment, such as CT and X-ray machines, ensuring comprehensive care for patients in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, outpatient centers, private practices, and imaging centers. In this role, you will work 40 hours per week, typically in 8-hour shifts during the day. The position is structured as a travel job, allowing you to experience different facilities and communities while contributing to patient care. The duration of the assignment is 13 weeks, starting on August 26, 2024. Responsibilities • Prepare patients for MRI scans and explain the procedure to them. , • Operate MRI machines to capture high-quality images of patients' internal structures. , • Process MRI images for review by radiologists and physicians. , • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality. , • Utilize other radiologic equipment such as CT and X-ray machines as needed. , • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety. , • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Requirements • At least 1 year of recent experience as an MRI technologist. , • ARRT Certification is required. , • BLS Certification (AHA) is required. , • Current state license (if applicable). Nice-to-haves • Experience with other imaging modalities such as CT or X-ray. , • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. , • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
