We’re looking for a talented Mobile Developer (Android or iOS) with experience building video editing or text-on-video apps similar to CapCut, CaptionsAI, or VEED. Your primary responsibility will be integrating our existing caption data into a stylish, customizable on-video caption system using the IMG.LY CreativeEngine (CE) SDK. If you've worked with animated text layers, video templates, timeline-based editing, or style presets in creative apps, you’re the perfect fit. What You’ll Build You will take our already-completed caption engine (timings + text) and implement: 1. Caption Display System - Render captions on top of videos using IMG.LY CE SDK text blocks - Map our caption timestamps to CE SDK scenes/layers - Ensure captions remain accurate during playback, seeking, trimming, and exporting 2. Caption Styling & Customization (Templates) - Build a customization experience similar to CaptionsAI or CapCut - Caption templates (font, color, animation, background styles, text effects) - Style packs / presets users can apply with one tap - Support for per-caption and global style editing - Dynamic text animations using CE SDK (in/out animations, emphasis, karaoke highlighting) - Custom alignment, scaling, spacing, and multi-line layout controls 3. CE SDK Integration Work heavily with IMG.LY CreativeEngine APIs: - Text layers - Scenes & timelines - Animated properties - Export/render pipelines -Ensure final exports match what users see in the editor Required Experience - 3+ years of professional Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) development - Experience building video editing, text overlay, or creative media apps - Hands-on experience with IMG.LY CE SDK or similar video/UI/graphics engines Strong understanding of: -Text rendering + animated text layers - Keyframes and timeline-based animation - Real-time video preview & export Apply tot his job
