Nursing Instructors (Adjunct)
About the position Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is currently seeking applicants for adjunct instructors to teach a variety of Nursing courses to include classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction. Responsibilities • Teach a variety of Nursing courses including classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction. • Assist with the credentialing process by indicating full-time or part-time status on applications or resumes. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. Requirements • Baccalaureate degree with a major in Nursing from a nationally accredited college or university. • Current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in Virginia. • Minimum of two (2) years of full-time employment in nursing or its equivalent within the past five (5) years. Nice-to-haves • Master's degree in Nursing from a nationally accredited college or university. • Minimum of two (2) years of recent teaching experience in a nursing program. • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in both didactic and clinical settings. • Experience in course development, student assessment, and course evaluations. • Ability to incorporate technology into instructional responsibilities. • Experience in curriculum development and use of multi-media teaching strategies. • Effective communication skills with a diverse student and faculty population.
