About the position The College of Nursing at Florida State University is seeking Tenure/Tenure-track faculty positions, level commensurate with experience. The college is a leader in advancing research across several critical health domains, focusing on Socio-Cultural Determinants of Health, mental health research, and addressing disparities in diverse communities. The college also pioneers innovative strategies in Aging and Pain Management, explores technology-driven solutions in Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and excels in Chronic Disease and Sexual Health/HIV research. Faculty members are expected to pursue extramural research funding, develop and maintain a research program, maintain a record of scholarly publications, prepare and teach assigned courses, and provide service to the university and community. Responsibilities • Pursue extramural research funding. • Develop and/or maintain a research program. • Maintain a record of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals. • Prepare and teach assigned courses. • Provide service to the university, the community, and the profession. • Perform related duties as assigned. Requirements • Candidates must hold an earned doctorate from an accredited university. • Have a record of intramural/extramural research funding. • Demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. • Candidates for Associate or Full Professor should have strong evidence of intramural/extramural research funding (preferably NIH funding) and scholarly productivity. • Leadership skills in mentorship of colleagues and students at a level appropriate to rank.
