Overnight Packer

A Gladwin plastics manufacturing facility is seeking Packers to join their team! This is a full-time opportunity from 6:55-7:00 ($15/hr for Days, $16/hr for Nights) on a 3-2-2 schedule, with 36 hours worked one week, and 48 hours the next. MOST OPENINGS ARE ON THE OVERNIGHT SHIFT AT THIS TIME. This is a fast-paced and warm environment, so candidates will need to be able to keep pace with machinery. This is a temp-hire opportunity after a reliable attendance record has been demonstrated as well as a positive work ethic. Employees must comply with health & safety guidelines as prescribed within the facility.Responsibilities:In a fast-paced and clean environment, Packer will be responsible for adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) for food product manufacturing and processing. As product is produced and comes down the line, Packer will need to inspect for defects to ensure quality parts, count, stack products into prearranged quantities (involves reaching overhead), and pack products into boxes in a safe and efficient manner. Packers may also need to print labels and fix them to boxes to prepare them for shipment.Skills:Ability to remain on feet for extended periods with regular bending, stooping, twisting, lifting, and carrying up to 35Lbs.Ability to work well on a team.Ability to follow verbal and written directions.Qualifications:Must have reliable transportation methods in order to demonstrate a dependable attendance record.Must comply with Spherion's Drug Free Workplace policy and disclose relevant criminal history at the time of hire.If you enjoy a position where you are kept busy and don't have a chance to watch the clock, this is for you!
