Part-time Immigration Consultation Attorney

The Part-Time Immigration Consultation Attorney is focused on providing compassionate and knowledgeable legal guidance to prospective and current clients navigating complex immigration matters. The ideal candidate has strong experience in family-based immigration and removal defense, is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and is committed to delivering clear, empathetic, and accurate legal advice. This role is ideal for an attorney who excels in client interaction and wants flexible, part-time work within a mission-driven immigration practice. Key Responsibilities • Conduct legal consultations with clients on immigration matters, primarily deportation defense and family-based petitions. • Advise clients on legal rights, options, and strategies tailored to their circumstances. • Provide clear, bilingual (English–Spanish) communication to ensure accessibility for diverse clients. • Review client intake forms, supporting documents, and case history. • Explain immigration processes, timelines, and next steps clearly and confidently. • Collaborate with the firm’s legal team to ensure accurate case assessment and transition of retained clients. • Maintain timely and professional communication with clients and staff. • Document all consultation notes and legal recommendations in the firm’s case management system. • Stay updated on current immigration laws, policies, and procedural changes. Required Qualifications • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school • Licensed to practice law in the United States (any state; good standing required). • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken). • 3–4 years of experience practicing immigration law. • Strong background in: • Family-based immigration • Removal defense / deportation cases • Excellent communication, client counseling, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and manage consultations efficiently. • Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to client advocacy. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in humanitarian immigration matters, including asylum, VAWA, U visa, T visa, parole, TPS, SIJS, or related relief. • Prior experience in high-volume or community-focused immigration practices. • Familiarity with case management software. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Job Type: Part-time Pay: $47,112.42 - $56,737.54 per year Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
