About the Role: Senior Analyst, Financial Planning Systems This part-time, remote opportunity is a fantastic chance to join our Life Partner Association within the Financial Planning Systems space. As a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning Systems, you'll play a critical role in supporting and developing Financial Systems applications, as well as acting as an internal consultant to various groups to determine automation opportunities and create suitable solutions. Key Responsibilities: Supports the Hyperion planning application on a regular basis for forecast and actual financials Validates data from Hyperion Financial Management and from regulators Researches and resolves issues with data, including divisional roll-ups and intercompany transactions Supports system maintenance; maintains client permissions and ensures smooth operation Assists clients with system issues, existing reports, forms, and models Helps with the preparation of in-depth circumstances and analytical results examinations on various complex financial issues and competitive industry investigations Facilitates and completes the monthly headcount process with regards to Hyperion Updates Hyperion Planning with order changes; coordinates hierarchy changes with Regulators and GL organization Consults with work groups to determine reporting business needs; proposes and presents efficient solutions Creates Essbase cubes, Planning Applications, Reports, as well as forecasting and planning models for Finance divisions Requirements for Success Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent experience/training 2 years of work experience in a Finance role, including experience with financial statements, as well as financial modeling and analysis Strong IT background, including experience with Oracle and multi-dimensional and relational database structures Preferred Qualifications: Experience using Hyperion, as well as development and administration experience (including Smart View, Essbase, Planning) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and be flexible in the use of analytical methodologies relating to financial issues Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in various circumstances Skills and Competencies: Ability to issue-tackle, module, and analyze data Meticulous with a focus on accuracy and the ability to prioritize tasks Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong communication and collaboration skills What We Offer At American Airlines, we believe in providing our employees with a comprehensive benefits package that supports their overall well-being.
