Job Summary As a Virtual Monitoring Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining visual observation of up to 12 patients at all times, monitoring patient behaviors and movements, and verbally redirecting patients over digital 2-way audio devices as needed. You will work onsite at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT, and be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Maintain continuous visual observation of up to 12 patients via remote camera monitoring Monitor patient behaviors and movements, and verbally redirect patients over digital 2-way audio devices using a microphone and headset Immediately summon nursing staff if a patient requires assistance Support the plan of care for patients requiring virtual monitoring Document incidents and report when a patient appears to pose a threat to themselves or others Communicate with internal and external customers/colleagues in a courteous, positive, empathic, and professional manner Schedule and Work Environment This is a part-time night shift role, working 24 hours per week from 7 PM to 7 AM. You will be required to work every other weekend and rotating holidays. Our 24/7 work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, and we're looking for individuals who are flexible and able to adapt to changing situations. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications High school diploma or GED Basic computer skills Ability to function independently and manage own time and work tasks Preferred Qualifications Healthcare experience Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to maintain focus and attention to detail over long periods.
