Part-Time Youth Director
Youth Ministry Internship (20 hours/week) Employment Status Part-time Paid Internship (20 hours/week) Schedule The Youth Ministry Intern will serve an average of 20 hours per week. This includes youth programming times, preparation, mentoring meetings, and relational ministry with students. Hours may be flexible depending on ministry events and the intern’s availability. Accountability • Reports to: Pastor of Adult & Family Ministries (or Youth Pastor if in place) • Works alongside: Youth Ministry volunteer team • Receives mentoring and training throughout the internship Purpose To gain hands-on experience in youth ministry while helping to reach and equip middle and high school students to be fully devoted followers of Jesus. Core Internship Responsibilities Ministry Support & Learning • Assist with planning and leading weekly youth gatherings. • Help develop and lead small groups, activities, and outreach opportunities. • Participate in the creation of teaching materials, games, and creative elements. • Attend and support youth retreats, trips, and special events. Volunteer & Team Involvement • Work with adult volunteers, learning how to lead, encourage, and support them. • Participate in volunteer training and planning meetings. Relational Ministry • Build relationships with students through presence, mentoring, and encouragement. • Engage with students at church and community events (as schedule allows). • Support parents by being available for communication and connection. Administration & Communication • Assist with weekly communications (social media, texting, emails, announcements). • Help with planning documents, sign-ups, and event promotion. Growth & Development Expectations • Actively participate in regular mentoring with supervising pastor. • Maintain a consistent walk with God through prayer, study, and worship. • Be open to feedback, coaching, and training opportunities. • Regular involvement in the life of Life Bridge Church. • Pursue personal, spiritual, and leadership growth during the internship. • Maintain appropriate social and emotional boundaries with students online, in communications with them, and in person with them Note: This internship is designed as a learning experience. The intern will not carry ultimate responsibility for budgeting, policy setting, or overall ministry direction but will assist and gain exposure to those processes.
