Job Description: Job Summary The Senior Quality Assurance Manager is accountable for leading quality assurance teams responsible for a product, key domain, or set of services for a system – inclusive of product and systems design and testing, portfolio quality strategy and test coverage, and product and systems support and maintenance. Works closely with internal and external customers and product teams to identify and maximize opportunities to promote the strategic use of technology solutions. Participates in the development of technical and development standards for product and system domain and enterprise. The Senior Quality Assurance Manager leads the creation and implementation of quality strategy and metrics and ensures that team members, processes and resources are in place to provide value realization and ongoing support and improvement to products and systems. Leads team members to complete quality assurance-related activities for products and systems; creates a high-performance culture driven by strategic objectives and goals of Patterson Hires, leads, and develops a diverse set of individuals operating as a collective team. Develops team and individual goals and holds direct reports accountable for meeting performance standards and goals; measures staff performance and completes regular performance reviews and ranking Partners with other leaders in software engineering to ensure quality and timely planning and delivery of products and systems across domains Defines portfolio quality strategy and objectives and establishes short-term and long-term metrics for department goals ensuring product quality throughout the software development life cycle Introduces and adopts contemporary approaches to quality practices, including automation for products and plans Participates in annual budget development and financial management for the functional areas Works closely with stakeholders and business leadership to ensure understanding of quality practices, objectives, and metrics and to discover product priorities and requirements within and across domains Maintains and builds knowledge of trends and technologies and their application within domain; partners with technical leaders to influence adoption of new technical techniques, processes and tools Drives highest level support for incoming incidents from end users to resolve application and software issues. For products under scope of regulatory quality management, ensures completion of quality related tasks within functional areas Additional functions In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may perform the following additional functions. Responsible for annual budget development and financial management for the functional areas Facilitates completion of product software development lifecycle documentation and controls Provides regulatory approvals for quality management records for software medical device products Acts as process owner for designated processes within Quality Management System. Serves as liaison with indirect sourcing to ensure timely purchases, renewals and contract SoW management Required Qualifications ·Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field or equivalent work experience ·7+ years’ experience leading teams and/or projects in the testing and maintenance of multi-tiered applications through all phases of software development life cycle ·Demonstrated ability to lead, communicate and work in a collaborative, cross-functional, international team environment ·Knowledge of current quality, automation and test coverage strategic concepts and understanding of how multiple development technologies, languages and platforms are used to build software products ·Experience in strategic planning, development, implementation, change management and maintenance of large-scale, integrated systems ·Ability to interpret customer and business needs to help build technical plans for capability and value delivery ·Experience with establishing automation teams and frameworks. ·Proven ability to establish and drive strategic and tactical initiatives while providing conflict resolution when necessary. ·Proven reporting, data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications ·Experience with corporate governance and developing business cases and return on investment analyses ·Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment that is team-oriented and collaborative ·Experience with working on regulated software products. ·Travel to customer, vendor and corporate sites is periodically required ·Available outside of normal business hours on evenings and weekends during critical production release or issue escalation periods We provide competitive benefits, unique incentive programs and rewards for our eligible employees: Full Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits and an integrated Wellness Program. 401(k) Match Retirement Savings Plan.
