About the Opportunity As a Payment Specialist in our part-time morning shift role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the integrity of our digital payment systems. Your expertise will help us investigate and resolve disputes, prevent fraudulent activities, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Review, process, and resolve payment and subscription disputes in Stripe, adhering to regulatory standards and internal policies. Collaborate with homeowners, contractors, and various departments to gather necessary information for effective dispute resolution. Analyze trends related to payment and subscription disputes to identify areas for improvement. Verify customer information and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Utilize Stripe and data analytics tools to proactively identify and prevent fraudulent activities by analyzing transaction data and recognizing suspicious patterns. Develop, maintain, and update policies and procedures related to payment and subscription disputes. Follow up on lost disputes and collect outstanding balances, engaging directly with customers to negotiate payment arrangements for delinquent or overdrawn accounts. Regularly review aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts, escalating to senior management as required. Respond to customer inquiries via phone, text, and email, resolving queries in real-time. Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you'll need: 1-2 years of experience in a payments-related role, preferably with experience in handling payment and subscription disputes. Previous experience resolving customer issues, questions, or concerns through phone calls, texts, and emails. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and adapt swiftly to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Previous experience in collections, with a proven track record of successfully managing delinquent or overdrawn accounts. Familiarity with relevant regulations, such as Reg. E and FDCPA, demonstrating your understanding of the regulatory landscape. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and internal stakeholders.
