Pension Plan Administrator
Consultant Position: Position emphasis is recurring compliance, company contributions, and government reporting work. Some communications with the plan sponsor/ advisor- mainly outgoing as inflow communications is controlled through designated email inbox and dedicated line that are monitored on demand by RMs. Candidate should have knowledge of these systems: Compliance and Plan Documents: FT William Task Management: PensionPro Skills/Abilities 1. Maintains a reasonable client caseload commensurate with experience level. 2. Manages client relationships, manages projects and tasks, establishes and monitors the timeline for project completion. Ensures that services to be provided per each Client Engagement Agreement are provided in a timely and accurate manner, data gathering to report completion and billing. Responsibilities include the monitoring of due dates for client deliverables and regulatory reports. 3. Complies with company policies and procedures, including documentation of technical discussions and completing plan administration checklists. 4. Participates in in-house training sessions and CE offerings. 5. Communicates effectively with each member of a project team; assists other employees when possible. 6. Researches technical issues, and/or asks for assistance with research or resolution of technical matters. Education and Experience 1. Bachelor's degree preferred. 2. Minimum 3 years recent hands-on 401(k) administration experience. 3. Very strong technical and analytical skills. 4. Experience working “unbundled” with national daily recordkeeping platforms. 5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 6. Outstanding written and oral communication skills and client service skills. 7. Plan design, consulting and plan document preparation experience are highly desirable. 8. Experience with ASC, FT Williams, Relius, Datair, or Pension Pro software is required. 9. Qualified Pension or 401(k) Administrator certification is a plus (QPA, QKA). 10. Must be able to perform testing Experience • Bachelor's degree or higher 3+ years of experience working with retirement plans. Relevant certifications from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA), National Association of Plan Administrators (NIPA), or other professional organizations. • Proven experience in financial analysis, wealth management, or related fields is preferred. • Strong knowledge of securities law, tax implications, and financial concepts is essential. • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships effectively and provide exceptional customer service. • A background in cash management practices will be beneficial for this role.
