Position Overview As a Performance Coach at Brain Balance, you will play a critical role in helping children with social, emotional, academic, and behavioral struggles. You will work part-time hours, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., providing sensory and motor activities that stimulate the brain and promote positive change. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and their families, while also gaining valuable skills and experience in a field that aligns with your passions. Key Responsibilities: Work with children aged 4-18 with social, emotional, academic, and behavioral challenges, including those with formal diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, Asperger's, ODD, Dyslexia, Learning and Processing Disorders. Provide sensory and motor activities that stimulate the brain and promote positive change. Develop strong relationships with children and their families, providing support and guidance throughout their journey. Collaborate with our team of professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to each child's program. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and research in the field. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all children, adhering to our high standards of care and compassion. Essential Qualifications: A genuine desire to help children and their families achieve their goals. A steady supply of empathy, compassion, enthusiasm, patience, kindness, and reliability. Strong curiosity and a desire to learn about why children struggle. A high school diploma or equivalent. Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 (on or before the first day of employment). Eligibility to work in the United States. Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule. The ability to pass a background check, criminal check, and child abuse clearance. Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications: Studied, majored, or minored in psychology, education, special education, child care, behavioral health, health science, or a related field. Experience working with children, whether as a babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, or some other form of childcare.
