Essential Job Functions: The partner must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation: Develops and/or reviews project proposals and/or plans to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects to support new pet care centers, new veterinary hospitals and remodel construction. Establishes workplans and staffing for each phase of projects and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project staff. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Activities include: (a) determining inter- and intra-departmental dependencies; (b) directing and coordinating activities of project staff to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budgets and monitoring progress and modifying schedules as required; (c) ensuring that blueprints are followed and assisting with specifications for construction, related installations, major maintenance and special projects, and monitoring building contractors; (d) conferring with project staff to outline workplan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority; and (e) conferring with project staff to provide technical advice and resolve problems. Prepares project reports for management and others. Education/Experience: 2 years of retail industry experience in operations, management, store planning, coordinating the set-up of new stores and/or new veterinary hospitals and/or remodel construction, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training. Strong leadership and project management skills; excellent computer skills. Advanced quantitative and qualitative budget analysis skills. Ability to interpret construction documents and/or drawings. Ability to travel by airplane and/or automobile up to 95% of the time. Ability to lift or move merchandise or equipment up to 40 pounds. Ability to work extended hours, consecutive days and/or overnight (e.g., 10 to 12 consecutive hours, 6 to 18 consecutive days, etc.).
