You will play a crucial role in aligning refinery processes with market trends, environmental regulations, and industry standards while collaborating with engineering teams to implement innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities - Conduct research to optimize refining processes and enhance petroleum production efficiency. - Analyze crude oil properties to determine the most effective refining techniques. - Develop and test new catalysts, materials, and refining technologies. - Monitor refinery operations and recommend process improvements for better yield and quality. - Study market trends and environmental regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards. - Perform cost-benefit analysis of proposed changes in refining methods or equipment. - Work closely with engineering teams to implement research findings in operational settings. - Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations on research outcomes and innovations. - Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards in research and development activities. - Stay updated on advancements in petroleum refining technology and best practices. Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred). - Experience with alternative fuel research, carbon capture, or bio-refining technologies. - Previous experience in an R&D or refinery environment. - Strong knowledge of process optimization and advanced control systems. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
