Philanthropy Associate (Full Time)
Navian Hawaii is focused on strengthening donor engagement and investment. The Philanthropy Associate will support fundraising efforts through donor communications and stewardship activities, ensuring effective donor relations and engagement strategies. Responsibilities Oversee the annual fund program, including planning, implementation, and performance tracking to achieve revenue goals Support annual giving and stewardship strategies that encourage donor loyalty and growth Assist with donor cultivation, solicitation, and recognition activities through coordinated outreach, follow-up, and stewardship execution Coordinates acknowledgements, impact reports, and donor recognition opportunities to ensure timely, accurate, and meaningful donor communication Help manage direct mail and digital campaigns, including drafting content and tracking results Provides oversight for all direct mail and digital solicitations including the annual report, e-newsletters and appeals Maintain accurate donor records and activity tracking with the CRM system and monitors stewardship activities to support data integrity and reporting needs Provide reports and analyze data for donor giving trends Collaborate with staff and volunteers to renew, upgrade, and expand the donor base Attend Navian Hawai’i events to foster donor relationships and promote philanthropy Provide reporting and administrative support, including monthly updates to leadership Demonstrate clear understanding of Navian Hawai’i’s mission, vision, and values Practice effective communication and interpersonal skills to enhance teamwork and accomplish goals Promote excellence in donor relations in all interactions Assist in developing marketing and promotional plans Gather information for budget reports and annual impact reports Recommend and implement changes in procedures and practices to meet donor needs and organizational goals Maintain departmental reports and records and collect statistical data for administrative purposes Serve as a member of agency committees as needed Stay actively involved in industry and peer groups within the community Plan for and meet deadlines consistently Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet job demands, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Demonstrate initiative and work effectively as a team player Convey a professional and positive image of the organization and the nonprofit sector Perform other duties as assigned Skills 1-3 years of experience in fundraising, philanthropy, or a related field required Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in fundraising or nonprofit management required Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) required A legally compliant background check Drug screen Valid Driver's License Reliable transportation with valid registration and insurance Ability to influence, educate, and negotiate in a professional, results-driven manner Ability to maintain highly sensitive and confidential information Strong skills in prioritization, research, problem solving, and independent decision making Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work collaboratively
