Maybourne is excited to offer a career development opportunity for an internal team member to transition into the role of Platform & DevOps Engineer within our growing Digital department. The role provides a development pathway for an experienced IT Engineer to become a Platform and DevOps Engineer, with a focus on software deployment, cloud infrastructure and automation. The candidate will contribute to Azure Infrastructure Management, develop pipelines, improve monitoring and security operations, and work closely with development teams to ensure reliable software delivery and operational excellence. You will gain hands-on experience alongside the Platform Engineering team and senior leaders on transformation initiatives that elevate operational efficiency and redefine luxury experiences for our customers. Responsibilities Assist in deploying and configuring tools used in software development, including build servers, version control systems, and automated testing frameworks. Support provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of Azure IaaS and PaaS resources. Manage and maintain Azure networking, virtual machines, resource groups, and cloud services. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions. Monitoring, Security & Governance Configure and maintain monitoring solutions. Assist in creating dashboards and alerts for real-time visibility into platform performance. Integrate monitoring with the ITSM platform for automated incident creation. Participate in access control, vulnerability management, and security maintenance. DevOps & Automation Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing. Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline administrative and deployment processes. Document infrastructure and deployment procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. Stay current with DevOps best practices and introduce improvements for reliability and delivery speed. Collaborate with infrastructure, networks, security operations, application support and development teams to troubleshoot deployment issues. Validate, review, and support software code to ensure quality and operability in deployment environments. Provide Tier 2/3 platform support for escalated issues across the Maybourne IT ecosystem (e.g., Oracle PMS, POS, guest services). Contribute to runbooks, system documentation, and production governance processes. Participate in Production Checklist and go/no-go governance to ensure cloud and platform requirements are met. Governance, Reporting & Documentation Create and maintain cloud architecture and platform documentation, risk logs, action trackers, and monitoring dashboards. Support regular reporting to the CDIO and senior leadership on project status and performance metrics. Contribute to the evolution of internal Platform & DevOps frameworks and best practices. Qualifications & What We’re Looking For Proven track record in IT support or service desk operations with exposure to ticketing systems, SLAs and incident resolution. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and common cloud services including VMs, storage and virtual networking. Basic understanding of DevOps tooling including version control, CI/CD processes and pipelines. Scripting experience and the ability to automate routine tasks. Knowledge of monitoring frameworks and observability concepts and tooling. Collaborative mindset with proactive problem-solving and strong communication skills. Willingness to learn and develop professionally within a digital or project-focused career path. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
