Policy Consultant (Contract Role - Reproductive Healthcare)
Employer Industry: Nonprofit Healthcare Services Why consider this job opportunity: • Hourly rate up to $125 based on experience • Flexible part-time contract role with the opportunity to work up to 25 hours per week • Engage in meaningful work supporting patient-centered contraceptive care • Opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated and mission-driven team • Involvement in important legislative and funding priorities that impact healthcare access • Comprehensive benefits package available for part-time employees working a minimum of 24 hours per week What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): • Monitor federal programs, initiatives, rules, and regulations, providing detailed summaries and analyses to internal stakeholders • Lead efforts in Congress to advance specific legislative and funding priorities • Build and maintain relationships with Congressional offices to support organizational goals • Brief internal stakeholders on updates from national contraceptive access stakeholders • Support state policy work and other special projects as needed What is Required (Qualifications): • Direct federal policy and advocacy experience, such as working in Congress, a federal government agency, or a health-related nonprofit organization • Technical expertise in Medicaid and/or domestic family planning • Ability to synthesize technical policy information for non-policy audiences • Political acumen with a proven track record of advancing policy priorities across party lines • Relevant relationships that could help advance the organization's mission, including Congressional or administrative relationships How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): • Previous experience supporting clients on temporary, fixed-term engagements • State policy experience is a plus • Comfort with participating in an on-camera culture during meetings to support team engagement #NonprofitHealthcare #PolicyAdvocacy #ContraceptiveCare #PartTimeOpportunity #RemoteWork We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal‑opportunity employment.
