Poll Writer / Trend Researcher (High School / Gen Z)
Chance App is looking for a young, creative writer to help us build one of our core features: fun, flirty, thought-provoking anonymous poll questions — basically modern-day digital yearbook superlatives (in the style of [Gas App]( You’ll be writing exactly 2,000 hand-written questions (NO AI USE ALLOWED) that feel native to high school + Gen Z culture — the kind of prompts that make people think of their friends, laugh, blush, or feel seen. --- What you’ll do - Write 2,000 short, engaging poll questions aligned with Chance’s brand voice - Stay tapped into high school & Gen Z trends, slang, humor, and social dynamics - Create questions that spark curiosity, emotion, and social interaction - Help shape the “voice” of Chance inside the app --- You’re a great fit if - You’re in high school or deeply plugged into high school / Gen Z culture - You’re naturally funny, clever, or emotionally intuitive - You understand how teens actually talk to each other - You’re great at writing short-form content (texts, captions, prompts, etc.) - You write in a way that feels human, playful, and culturally relevant --- Important - All questions must be 100% human-written (no AI) - This is a creative role — we care more about taste, humor, and cultural fluency than formal experience - Compensation: $20.00-$25.00 an hour DOE --- How to apply Please respond with 5–10 original example questions. We’re looking for samples that show: - Strong creativity and critical thinking - A mix of tones (flirty, funny, thoughtful, etc.) - A real understanding of Gen Z / high school culture - Willingness to experiment with format (one word, short phrases, full questions) Your examples should feel too nuanced, playful, or socially aware for AI to generate. Surprise us. Make us laugh. Make us think, “Oh I know exactly who I’d pick for this.” --- Writing in the Chance Voice We’ll share examples from Gas for reference, but **we’re not looking for Gas clones** — those show the *format*, not the voice.
