Power BI Developer / Business Analyst

Your Role As a Power BI Developer at Formula5, you'll bridge the gap between raw data and business insight. While your primary focus is reporting and visualization, you'll work hands-on with the full Fabric ecosystem - sometimes rolling up your sleeves on the data engineering side when projects demand it. Data Analysis and Visualization - Analyze complex datasets and transform them into insightful, visually compelling Power BI reports and dashboards. Semantic Model Development - Design and build performant semantic models in Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data accuracy and optimal query performance. Requirements Gathering - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into actionable solutions. Data Pipeline Support - Work alongside data engineers on pipeline design and occasionally build or modify data flows within Fabric when needed. Report Development - Create interactive, user-friendly Power BI reports that empower decision-makers. Data Quality Ownership - Take responsibility for data curation and preparation to ensure datasets are reliable and ready for analysis. Collaboration - Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and reporting processes. Continuous Improvement - Stay current with the latest Power BI and Microsoft Fabric features to enhance reporting capabilities. Requirements Essential • 1-5 years of experience in business analysis, BI development, or a related field • Proven proficiency in Power BI report development and data modeling • Strong experience with DAX and SQL • Experience with Python or wilinglness to learn • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Good communication and teamwork abilities • Ability to work in an English language environment • Comfortable working afternoon hours to collaborate with US-based clients • Polish and English language proficiency is a must Preferred • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, Data Pipelines, Semantic Models, Notebooks) • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and data integration tools • Python proficiency for data transformation or automation tasks • Understanding of data mesh principles and modern data architecture • Knowledge of DevOps practices, Git based code developement and version control for BI assets • Experience with data modeling and schema design beyond the semantic layer Why Choose Formula5?
