Power BI Report Development - Airline company

Job Description We are an airline company seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Power BI Developer to build a dashboard that visualizes key operational and maintenance indicators for our fleet. I will provide the data in CSV format (with defined column names). It is important to keep these column names intact, since the final production version will connect directly to our SQL database. The dashboard should allow us to analyze and visualize the relationship between flight utilization and maintenance needs. ⸻ Objectives / Deliverables 1. Hours-to-Cycles Ratio (H:C) • Calculate and visualize the ratio of Flying Hours / Flying Cycles per aircraft. • Display trends over time (e.g., monthly/quarterly). 2. Jobs per Aircraft (Maintenance Works) • Integrate maintenance job records (TipoTrabajo, SubtipoTrabajo, Titulo, etc.) with the utilization data. • Show correlation between H:C ratio and number of jobs performed for each aircraft. 3. Maintenance Threshold Forecast (Stand-By Measure) • Implement a third measure that estimates when each aircraft will next require scheduled maintenance. • For this prototype, use example thresholds (e.g., every 500 flying hours or 300 cycles) to calculate remaining hours/cycles until the next maintenance event. • Display visually (timeline, progress bar, or chart) how close each aircraft is to the threshold. 4. User-Friendly Dashboard in Power BI • Allow filtering by aircraft, time period, job type, etc. • Clearly highlight: • Current H:C ratio • Maintenance job counts • Estimated date/remaining hours until next scheduled maintenance ⸻ Requirements • Strong experience in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, relationships). • Ability to work with CSV input first, keeping all column names identical for future SQL migration. • Experience in aviation data, fleet analytics, or maintenance tracking is a plus. • Good communication: provide documentation on calculations and assumptions. ⸻ What I Will Provide • CSV exports of: • Aircraft utilization (hours, cycles, TSN, CSN) • Maintenance jobs (with aircraft matricula and job details) • Example thresholds for maintenance (e.g., 500h / 300 cycles). ⸻ Deliverable • A Power BI file (.pbix) with the described dashboard, using the provided CSVs as the data source. • Documentation of all measures/calculations, so we can later replicate them on the SQL source. ⸻ Budget & Timeline • Fixed price project (please propose). • Expected timeline: 1–2 weeks for first version.
