Principal Functional Cost Analyst, ES CAS (Full-time Remote)

ES Functional Cost Management (FCM) forecasts, analyzes and reports indirect expenses while monitoring the performance of overhead rates and discretionary spending. FCM is a well-rounded role that exposes an employee to the various facets of BAE Systems finance, cost management and functional leadership. This position requires a strong understanding of overhead expense and rate management, financial system capabilities and CAS/FAR regulations. Because this role involves a combination of independent and collaborative work, this position can be conducted 100% remotely. Responsibilities include: • Complex reporting and detailed analysis impacting overall management of overhead expenses, rate performance and cost allowability or allocability • Functional Cost Business Partner to multiple functions • Preparing and defending cost impact analysis submitted to the USG for compliant disclosed cost accounting practices • Continuous process improvements of system reporting capabilities while driving simplified, efficient and repeatable processes for expense management • Knowledge of CAS segmentation, allocations, G&A Value Added Base, overhead rate generation • Monthly review of rate absorption and monitor risks/opportunities to ES CAS rates • Robust collaboration with Government Compliance to support DCMA and DCAA audits • Ad hoc reporting as needed Required Education, Experience, & Skills • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related discipline • 4+ years of professional experience, ideally in corporate finance • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Oracle, Hyperion, SmartView, EMS, Midas Power BI • Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical and problem solving skills • Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment • Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner • Strong interpersonal skills Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills • Experience supporting multiple segments or sectors within BAE Systems; possessing an understanding of the procedural nuances across different internal areas would be ideal. • Experience in finance functional disciplines • Understanding and knowledge industry practices and standards as well as company policies • Understanding of Government Regulations: Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $99410 - $168997 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
