Job Summary We are seeking an exceptional Principal Machine Learning Engineer to lead research and development projects in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Key Responsibilities Lead Research and Development Projects: Spearhead research and development projects in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, focusing on solving complex manufacturing challenges. Collaborate with Domain Experts: Work closely with domain experts in manufacturing to identify critical challenges and opportunities for AI-driven improvements, and prioritize projects accordingly. Develop Innovative Algorithms: Design and develop innovative Machine Learning and/or Deep Learning and/or Reinforcement Learning algorithms for leveraging multiple sources of data to optimize manufacturing processes, predict remaining useful life of a machine, and develop early signals for detecting product quality changes. Real-Time Monitoring and Control: Design and implement AI algorithms for real-time monitoring and control of manufacturing equipment to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime. Energy Management and Optimization: Investigate and apply AI-based approaches for energy management and optimization in manufacturing facilities, including predicting energy consumption patterns and recommending energy-saving actions. Model Evaluation and Monitoring: Evaluate and monitor Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models to continuously improve their performance. Collaboration and Code Development: Collaborate with other team members to code, train, test, deploy, and iterate on Artificial Intelligence-based systems. Essential Qualifications Master's Degree: A Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a related field with a focus on Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a similar area. Experience: 5+ years of research or development experience in Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence. Machine Learning and Deep Learning: Experience training and evaluating machine learning and deep learning models (e.g., time-series modeling, tree-based models, ensemble learning, neural networks, reinforcement learning, etc.) and a good understanding of statistical techniques and concepts. Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in Python or other relevant programming languages. Machine Learning Frameworks: Proficiency in various machine learning frameworks, libraries, and tools, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or scikit-learn. Large-Scale Data Sets: Experience working with large-scale data sets and distributed computing tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, or similar technologies). MLOps Experience: MLOps experience is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Python Experience: 1+ year of experience with Python. SQL Experience: 1+ year of experience with SQL.
