Our Product Management, Specialty Lines Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Boat Product team! We are looking for an associate that will make impact to GEICO's growth and profitability by applying strategic approach based on critical thinking and data-driven quantitative and qualitative analysis. Successful candidates will display analytical skills, develop strategic solutions, and demonstrate an ability to make change happen. Our Product Managers and Product Management Analysts develop and execute product design strategies for our insurance business. As an Insurance Product Management Analyst I, you will need to demonstrate the ability to learn and understand basic terms, concepts, tools, and communication methods used by the department to analyze underwriting experience. Responsibilities • Work on strategic and analytical projects that will directly impact GEICO's growth and profitability results • Utilize large dataset to pull insightful takeaways using SAS and SQL • Assist supervisors and product managers to provide statistical exhibits for analysis • Presenting data-based analytical observations to the management • Following agile environment (Azure DevOps) to keep track of project progressions • Understanding and applying insurance industry terms and concepts whenever appropriate Requirements • Bachelor's degree in quantitative field of study (Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Insurance, or a related major) • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SQL) • Experienced with technical languages (SQL, R or Python) • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities • Intellectual curiosity to learn and ability to ask insightful questions Nice-to-haves • MBA or master's degree in quantitative field of study • Have work experience with proven analytical skills • Experience using tools to query large datasets (SAS, Coginiti, and/or Snowflake) • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or R Shiny) • Working knowledge in insurance or have Insurance-related certifications/designations (i.e. AINS, CPCU, ARM, etc.) Benefits • Comprehensive Total Rewards program that offers personalized coverage tailor-made for you and your family's overall well-being • Financial benefits including market-competitive compensation; a 401K savings plan vested from day one that offers a 6% match; performance and recognition-based incentives; and tuition assistance • Access to additional benefits like mental healthcare as well as fertility and adoption assistance • Supports flexibility- We provide workplace flexibility as well as our GEICO Flex program, which offers the ability to work from anywhere in the US for up to four weeks per year Apply tot his job
