Product / Industrial Designer – 3D-Printed Skate Prototypes
I’m looking for a product / industrial designer who enjoys hands-on prototyping and designing parts that actually get used, tested, and revised. This is not a branding or “final render” job. You design → I 3D print → we test → we iterate. --- ### What we’re working on I’m prototyping 3D-printed parts for roller skates, across two skate setups (Flaneur + Bont). The main focus areas: - Front-of-boot protection (toe / front impact areas) - Hybrid designs that also function as, or integrate with, a jam plug - Exploring different attachment methods to the boot and plate Early versions are expected to be rough. The goal is to test ideas quickly and refine what works. --- ### Who this is for You’re a good fit if you: - Design physical products, not just screens - Are comfortable designing for 3D printing - Like thinking about how things attach, wear, and fail - Enjoy fast feedback loops and iteration - Are happy working from real-world testing rather than long briefs This is very much maker energy, not consultancy energy. --- ### Deliverables - 3D-printable CAD files (STL / STEP) - Designs that can be easily modified and iterated --- ### How to apply Please include: - A short note about your experience with physical / product design - Examples of things you’ve designed (especially 3D-printed or manufactured parts) Bonus (optional): Any experience with sports gear, footwear, or mechanical parts Apply tot his job
