Product Manager, Data Management

About the position We are looking for a forward-thinking Product Manager with a strong background in data products to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our data-driven solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, marketing, and sales to create products that leverage data insights to drive business outcomes. Your expertise in data products will be essential in turning complex data into actionable insights and delivering value to our customers. Responsibilities • Define and articulate the product vision for data products in alignment with the company's strategic objectives. • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather customer feedback to drive product innovation and ensure a competitive edge in data solutions. • Develop and maintain a prioritized product roadmap that reflects both short-term wins and long-term strategic goals. • Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and actionable product features. • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through development, launch, and iterative improvement. • Ensure data quality, privacy, and security considerations are integral parts of the product design and implementation. • Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers to ensure alignment and clear communication. • Lead regular product review meetings and agile sprint sessions to track progress, address challenges, and incorporate feedback. • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and data-driven decision-making. • Utilize data analytics tools to extract actionable insights and measure the performance of data products. • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments to inform product enhancements and market positioning. • Engage with customers to understand their data needs, gather feedback, and refine product offerings to ensure maximum impact. • Present product updates, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and other key stakeholders. • Develop comprehensive documentation including product requirements, use cases, and user stories. • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring that product decisions are driven by user needs and market demands. • Continuously evaluate product development processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency and quality. • Leverage data insights to drive ongoing product improvements and inform future strategic initiatives. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. • 3+ years of product management experience, preferably with a focus on data products or data-driven solutions. • Demonstrated success in launching and scaling data products, with a strong portfolio of data-focused initiatives. • Experience working in agile environments and familiarity with lean product development methodologies. • Proficient in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI) and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets. • Understanding of data architecture, data governance, and data privacy standards. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus among diverse groups. • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills. • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt quickly to changing market dynamics.
