Product Manager, Healthcare Automation and AI

Position Summary Midwest Vision Partners is seeking a Product Manager focused on Healthcare Automation and AI. This is a self-starting role that will come in and develop process improvement initiatives across the organization. The position is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering the product backlog for our automation and AI-driven solutions. Sitting at the intersection of technology, clinical, and back-office operations, this role requires a deep understanding of healthcare workflows, data, and regulatory constraints. The ideal candidate is both hands-on and a strategic thinker, with a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex problems and improve patient care, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare organization. What You Will Be Working On Strategy and Vision • Develop and articulate the product vision and strategy for automation and AI initiatives, aligning with the company's overall business goals and market needs. • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user interviews to identify new opportunities and validate product hypotheses. Product Backlog Management • Translate high-level product strategies into detailed, actionable plans, tasks, and acceptance criteria. • Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer feedback to ensure continuous delivery of value. • Collaborate with executive, operational, and technology teams, and identify and manage key vendors to ensure alignment on product requirements. Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (e.g., clinical leaders, operations, technical teams, finance, compliance) and the delivery teams. • Communicate product progress, roadmap updates, and key decisions to all relevant stakeholders. Product Development and Delivery • Create, lead, and manage sprint/delivery cycles with internal teams and selected partners. • Build technical proofs of concept (POCs) and solutions using modern tools. • Monitor and track product performance post-launch using key metrics and user feedback. Domain Expertise • Maintain a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including clinical workflows and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR). • Stay current with the latest trends in automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, particularly as they apply to healthcare. • Identify and implement opportunities to use AI and automation to improve specific healthcare processes (e.g., claims processing, clinical documentation, patient triage, predictive analytics). What You Know Education • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Business). A Master's degree is a plus. Experience • 1-3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or a similar role in the healthcare technology sector. • Proven experience working with automation, AI, or machine learning products. Skills • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with healthcare data systems and standards. • Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Gemini.
