Job Description: You are: The Product Marketing Manager is a key role within the Pitney Bowes’ Global Ecommerce Marketing team and is responsible for monitoring and facilitating the ideation, creation, distribution, sales enablement and governance of positioning and messaging for ecommerce logistics services (Delivery, Returns, Cross-Border, Fulfillment). The role collaborates across the organization to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and content across go-to-market channels. This position reports to the Product Marketing Director and serves as a central point of contact for enterprise go-to-market for our Global Ecommerce suite of solutions. This position is 100% remote, with a flexible work schedule, unlimited vacation and eligible for performance bonuses. The wage range for this position is $101,840/yr to $127,300/yr, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual incentive bonus. The role is well-suited to those accustomed to working independently and self-sufficiently while wearing multiple hats, including the ability to: You will: • Own and be accountable for all product marketing responsibilities pertaining to—and serve as the primary Marketing POC for, a core set of products / solutions in the Global Ecommerce portfolio, addressing both current and prospective client needs • Articulate business challenges addressed by our solutions and services. Document positioning and messaging that differentiates Pitney Bowes’ value propositions. Act as the ‘spokesperson’ for our go-to-market messaging. • Engage deeply with product, network and operations teams to articulate how their new releases / initiatives “come to life” for key external stakeholders (client, prospects, the market), translating complex ideas into simple, easy to understand benefits. • Follow and analyze market trends to position products; provide sales teams with perspectives on market trends to aid in competitive and instructive selling practices. • Develop personas, customer journeys, market segmentation, and competitive intelligence; leverage these materials in creating product positioning, messaging, and sales materials • Act as a product SME, providing input to research projects to enable the collection of deep market, client, and consumer insight, embedding those learnings into our go-to-market activities • Work closely with marketing leadership to develop strategic approaches to effectively work and coordinate with other functions Your background: • A passion for B2C/retail ecommerce (logistics or technologies) and experience developing B2B marketing deliverables (including, but not limited to, pitch decks, cut sheets, sales playbooks, sales training, customer/prospect communications, etc.) • At least 3-5 years of experience in the B2C/direct-to-consumer logistics industry (parcel delivery / returns / cross-border experience with a shipping carrier, or with a retailer/brand, ideally with ability to articulate the value and impact of logistics on the ecommerce landscape) required • At least 3 years of marketing experience preferred, with specific experience in product marketing, particularly in understanding internal and external stakeholder needs for new product launches, product enhancements, and product lifecycles • Ability to work independently with little or no direction, demonstrating strong decision-making skills and problem-solving skills • Solid writing skills, with a focus on articulating impacts and benefits of products and product changes to clients • Comfort distilling complex client needs / wants into measurable attributes that can be researched in more depth • Strong project / process management skills, with the ability to take unstructured, cross-functional engagements and provide frameworks and templates that drive efficient work • Capacity to succeed under aggressive project schedules • Strategic thinking mindset, understanding the need to build relationship and coordinate across functional teams • Superior verbal and interpersonal abilities—ability to present onstage to large internal and external audiences • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Communications, Business or related experience • Willingness to travel 10-20% (remote work arrangements are permitted) Our Team: At Pitney Bowes, our passionate and ambitious team delivers innovations that help clients navigate the complex and always evolving world of commerce: from shipping and mailing solutions, to ecommerce logistics services, to financial services.
