This role is geared toward a driven, client-facing professional who thrives on building relationships, winning work, and delivering high-quality waterproofing solutions throughout OH. Role Summary: The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of sales and estimating experience in commercial waterproofing, restoration, or building envelope trades. This position is heavily focused on business development and preconstruction sales — generating opportunities, building partnerships, preparing competitive bids, and supporting clients from first contact through project delivery. Project Types: • Below-grade waterproofing • Air barriers and fluid-applied systems • Sealants, coatings, and expansion joints • Plaza deck & foundation systems • Restoration and remedial work Job Responsibilities: • Prospect and develop new business opportunities with owners, developers, GCs, architects, and engineers. • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to maximize repeat business. • Perform takeoffs, prepare detailed estimates, and generate competitive proposals. • Lead bid presentations, scope reviews, and value engineering discussions with clients. • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure profitable work. • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure pricing and availability. • Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry associations to expand client base. • Track bid pipeline, forecast sales activity, and provide regular updates to leadership. • Partner with operations teams to transition projects smoothly from estimating to execution. • Monitor project performance to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for upsell or additional work. Qualifications/Requirements: • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, estimating, or project management in commercial waterproofing, roofing, or building envelope. • Proven track record of generating new business and closing profitable projects. • Strong technical knowledge of waterproofing systems, sealants, and façade assemblies. • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, The EDGE, On-Screen Takeoff) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven personality. • Willingness to travel locally/regionally for client meetings and site visits. • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and ability to pass background/drug screening.
