Python Data PI Historian Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer / Historian Engineer with strong experience in .NET and Python to design, develop, and support data pipelines for industrial and operational data systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with data historians (PI Historian preferred), time-series data, and modern cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines for time-series and operational data • Integrate and extract data from industrial data historians (AVEVA PI or similar) • Develop scalable and maintainable applications using .NET (C#) and Python • Build and maintain APIs and automation services for data access and processing • Optimize and manage SQL databases for performance and reliability • Work closely with process engineers, analysts, and IT teams to understand data requirements • Monitor, troubleshoot, and support data pipelines and historian integrations • Follow best practices for coding, testing, version control, and documentation Required Skills: • Strong programming experience in .NET (C#) and Python • Hands-on experience with PI Historian or other industrial historians • Solid understanding of time-series data concepts • Proficiency in SQL (querying, optimization, data modeling) • Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS) • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices Preferred / Nice to Have: • Experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub) • Knowledge of other historians (Aspen, GE Proficy, Honeywell PHD) • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes • Manufacturing, energy, or industrial domain experience • Exposure to BI or visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) Education: • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Apply tot his job
