Quality Assurance Analyst

They are seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Analyst to join their QA team, where the role involves executing tests, exploratory testing, collaborating with development teams, and ensuring release readiness. Responsibilities Executing tests : Performing functional and regression testing of our desktop products across Windows, macOS, and Linux Exploratory testing : Investigating usability, workflows, and edge cases to uncover issues that scripted tests may miss Collaboration : Working closely with development teams to understand new features and help define effective test strategies Bug tracking : Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects with clear, reproducible steps and solution-oriented feedback Test documentation : Creating and maintaining test cases and contributing to overall test plans and appropriate test coverage Release readiness : Participating in defect triage and discussions around product quality and release readiness Communication : Providing regular updates on testing progress, risks, and results to Project Management Skills Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux environments Strong attention to detail and a natural curiosity for how software works (and why it breaks) Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to clearly document complex issues A strong desire to learn new technologies and an interest in improving testing techniques and processes A positive attitude and a willingness to grow within a collaborative, fast-paced QA team An interest in mathematics or technical computing is a plus Benefits Excellent compensation and benefits Company Overview A leading provider of high-performance software tools for engineering, science, and mathematics.
