Radiologist (AI Evaluation Project) – Remote, Contract

About the Opportunity A leading AI talent platform, Mercor, is seeking fellowship-trained Radiologists to support a project with one of the world’s top AI research labs. This role focuses on evaluating and improving the performance of large language models on advanced, real-world radiology cases. Radiologists from all diagnostic subspecialties are encouraged to apply, with strong demand for Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Neuroradiology specialists. What You’ll Do • Design expert-level diagnostic and clinical reasoning challenges for AI systems • Develop authoritative, gold-standard answers with clear diagnostic logic • Emphasize nuanced differentials, edge cases, and multimodal reasoning • Provide structured feedback on common AI reasoning failures • Collaborate with research teams at a leading AI lab to improve model accuracy Required Qualifications • MD or DO from an accredited medical school • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency • Completion of a radiology fellowship (any subspecialty) • Board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology • 2+ years of post-training clinical experience • Currently based in the United States • Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills Strongly Preferred • Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology and/or Neuroradiology • Primary clinical focus in MSK or neuro imaging • Academic or teaching experience (residents, fellows, conferences) • Experience developing case-based assessments, exam questions, or rubrics • Advanced MRI interpretation or subspecialty-heavy workflows Engagement Details • Fully remote, flexible schedule • Independent contractor role • Project duration may vary based on performance and project needs • Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise • No access to confidential or proprietary employer or institutional data • H-1B and STEM OPT sponsorship not available Interview Process • One short interview (approximately 20–30 minutes) • Discussion of clinical background and subspecialty expertise Equal Opportunity All qualified applicants are considered without regard to legally protected characteristics.
