R&D- Technical Writing Specialist (Remote)

About the position Responsibilities • Manage on-site processes to create necessary procedures that comply with regional and global standards. • Drive the alignment of regional procedures and processes to enhance consistency and efficiency across North America. • Regularly update existing procedures to reflect changes in processes, regulations, and best practices. • Develop and refine regional procedures as required through cross-functional collaboration. • Identify and implement strategies to reduce complexity costs while improving product consistency. • Organize and conduct training forums to enhance the skills and knowledge of the technical team. • Develop and deliver global training programs as needed to align with organizational objectives. • Lead efforts to document and capture General Industrial Technical historical knowledge, ensuring vital information is readily accessible. • Oversee the management of materials and resources, providing access to technical literature, patents, and business information. • Promote and manage knowledge-sharing tools (e.g. Sharepoint, PowerApps, etc.) within the company to enhance usability and effectiveness. • Provide user education and support for information services and General Industrial Division Technical knowledge management tools and initiatives. • Support Scale-up initiatives, problem-solving initiatives, and color improvements. • Adhere to company safety standards at all times. • Visit customers and Technical labs to better understand customer conditions, background work on projects, formulation, and impacts of process variance. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math field OR Bachelor's in Technical/Professional Writing or Business Administration with 5 years Laboratory/Operations or Continuous Improvement Experience. • 5 years of Experience in Technical Writing, Process Management, Knowledge Management, or a related field. • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and SharePoint. Nice-to-haves • Process / Knowledge management and Technical Writing experience in Chemical / Coatings Laboratory environment.
