Reading Tutoring Coordinator/Manager
About the position Responsibilities • Create an agenda that supports the goals and objectives of the Florida Advantage Tutoring program in alignment with Science of Reading guidelines. • Implement outreach efforts, such as webinars or presentations, to educate and recruit potential districts on the benefits of the Florida Tutoring Advantage program. • Design, develop, and present information on the Florida Tutoring Advantage program. • Assist districts in reviewing tutoring programs, professional learning programs, curriculum, and resources to ensure adherence to science of reading guidelines. • Interpret and implement policies and procedures as they apply to the Florida Tutoring Advantage program. • Act as liaison between Florida Tutoring Advantage and outside agencies, including interviewing subject matter experts and conducting research to develop instructional content. • Manage resources assigned to the Florida Tutoring Advantage program to accomplish specific goals/objectives. • Assist in developing a tutoring framework that combines content-related expertise and tutoring research-based best practices. • Provide advice and guidance for comprehensive learning and training programs including course/project scope, timeline, materials, and course evaluation. • Provide analytical support for the design and development of training curricula, learning strategies, educational policies, or courseware standards. • Lead the regional staff in Literacy to support districts and serve as liaison between the regional staff and leadership. • Coordinate with the team to effectively respond to district needs and collaborate with the Literacy team to ensure alignment with Science of Reading guidelines. • Schedule and facilitate recurring meetings with teams to support ongoing projects and address relevant issues. • Work with the Assistant Director to create an onboarding plan for new employees. • Track progress toward quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and collaborate across teams on gathering metrics for objectives and key results. • Disseminate research findings on Literacy related programs and conduct needs assessments. Requirements • Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience. • Content area expertise. • Professional Educator Certification. • Experience working in teaching, tutoring, project coordination, and/or school administration. • High level of professionalism, attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple competing demands, and meet deadlines. Nice-to-haves • Experience in family engagement efforts. • Experience working directly with local organizations, nonprofits, and school district personnel. • Proven ability to work well in a demanding, fast-paced, deadline-driven work atmosphere. • Demonstrated integrity, dependability, sound judgment, teamwork, and resourcefulness.
