Position: Records Analyst Sr. - Onsite Austin Texas, No C2C- $30-33 hr Read Job description Overview Senior Records Management Specialist – Onsite Austin, Texas. Contractor. Pay $30‑33/hr working 7:00‑16:00 Monday‑Friday. Familiar with Texas Archives Commission retention schedule, CRA, CRM, IGP, ARMA, or International Professional Association of Information Governance. Flexibility to work from home at least 3 days a week if not required onsite. Key Responsibilities • Evaluate and determine records management needs for departments and work groups. • Recommend procedures for creation, control, storage, and disposal of records based on best practices. • Provide user support for document and records management systems, including troubleshooting. • Develop records compliance and retention programs; analyze compliance and lead implementation efforts. • Prepare retention schedule drafts and act as liaison between user departments and Records & Archives. • Develop and implement quality assurance guidelines and reporting mechanisms for electronic document and records systems. • Identify vital records and recommend proper protection procedures. • Create documentation of workflows and processes for managing all record types. • Develop and administer training programs for staff and user departments. • Maintain awareness of current industry trends, best practices, and technologies related to records management. Minimum Qualifications • Nine or more years of experience in records management, archival administration, or library/information science. • Degree in records management, library/information science, or a relevant field. • Valid driver’s license (for Records and Archives roles). Preferred Certifications • CRA, CRM, IGP, ARMA, or International Professional Association of Information Governance certifications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong knowledge of records management principles and best practices. • Proficiency in electronic document and records management systems. • Skills in taxonomy creation, planning, scheduling, and prioritization. • Ability to evaluate complex customer needs and present business justifications. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Advanced proficiency in records/document management systems and intermediate skills in office productivity tools. • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage competing priorities. Work Environment & Physical Demands • Office environment with flexibility to work from home at least 3 days per week unless required onsite. • Frequent keyboard/mouse use; occasional lifting of boxes up to 25 lbs (≤20% of time).
