Regional Sales Manager – Southwest (Reside in Texas or Arizona)
This is a role provides a base salary with performance-based incentive compensation. Job Summary The Regional Sales Manager is a senior sales leader responsible for driving profitable, scalable growth within the assigned territory through strategic leadership, producer development and execution of corporate sales initiatives. The RSM serves as the primary field ambassador for GBU Financial Life and is accountable for territory performance, producer recruitment and retention, and long-term market expansion. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and execute on a territory business plan with accountability for sales, recruiting, and retention targets. • Design and implement strategies including producer segmentation, travel rotation, regional meetings, growth initiatives, and market penetration plans. • Analyze industry trends, competitive positioning, and product performance to adapt strategies in realtime. • Build and maintain highlevel relationships with top producers, agency principals, and strategic groups. • Forecast sales pipeline activity and revenue performance, provide regular updates to senior leadership. • Maintain a strong field presence through inperson sales meetings, training sessions, business planning meetings, roadshows, and industry events. • Represent GBU Life at regional and national conferences, sales meetings, and producer forums. • Recruit, onboard, and develop new producers aligned with territory growth objectives. • Design and execute structure onboarding programs to accelerate early productivity and longterm retention. • Coach producers on product positioning, case design, sales strategies, and pipeline management. • Provide direct feedback to the producers in the territory direct feedback, development plans, and sales expectations. • Serve as a liaison between the producers and internal teams including Marketing, New Business, Service, Compliance, Underwriting and Product Development. • Deliver structured, constructive feedback from the field to direct manager to support product design, sales and marketing tools, and process improvements. • Using CRM for tracking all aspects of agent communications including appointments, conversations, follow ups, emails, etc. • Support marketing initiatives, product launches, and sales campaigns to ensure effective execution in the field. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in related field or equivalent; or minimum four (4) years’ related experience or equivalent. • Proven success as a Regional Vice President, Regional Sales Director, Wholesaler or Senior Field Leader within insurance or financial services. • Demonstrated experience recruiting, developing, and retraining highperforming producers. • Strong Leadership, Communication, Presentation, and Negotiation Skills. • Reside in one of the Territory’s states (Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma or Colorado) • Must be willing to travel within assigned territory. • Deep working knowledge of life insurance, annuity and retirement income products • Commitment to excellence and high standards. • Strong organizational, problemsolving, and analytical skills. • Acute attention to detail. • Ability to direct and recommend costeffective creative solutions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Established Network of Producers, Agencies, or Distribution Groups. • Experience using CRM, Sales Analytics tools to manage pipeline and performance. • History of driving sustained territory growth in competitive markets. • Experience managing a regional budget to achieve sales goals.
