Job Summary We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Monument Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to our patients. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and develop individualized care plans for our patients. Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized care plans for patients in the Labor and Delivery unit Provide skilled clinical care and apply nursing science to prevent or address illness, disability, or injury Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, family members, and support systems to deliver high-quality care Utilize independent judgment to apply the nursing process for assessing, diagnosing, identifying outcomes, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct patient care Adhere to ANA Standards of Professional Nursing Practice, institutional policies, and relevant laws and regulations Coordinate care delivery and ensure patient progression along the care plan Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment Provide health teaching and health promotion to patients and families Consult with interdisciplinary teams to influence the identified plan, enhance the abilities of others, and effect change Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of Registered Nurse experience Bachelor's degree in Nursing Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing science Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Monument Health, we're committed to supporting the career growth and development of our team members.
