Responsibilities Supervise the collection of data for use in determining care plans, compliance with treatment norms and privacy standards. • Direct, educate and monitor staff. May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff. • Ensure the accuracy of patient charts and medical data. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team. • Maintain current knowledge of federal, state and local standards and regulations for long-term care, such as those for certification, licensure and accreditation, Medicare, and state Medicaid. • Participate in the CMS (Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services) survey process and plan of correction. • Promote survey preparedness at all times. Supplies information to third parties. • Train individuals to develop a comprehensive care plan for facility residents in coordination with the Minimum Data Set (MDS) that accurately addresses the needs of residents. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
