Regulatory Affairs Specialist, Chemical Compliance (Remote)
SCOPE: The Regulatory Services Specialist in Quality Services provides complete and timely support to our customers on a global basis for Regulatory and Quality related inquiries. This role will work in cross-functional teams in a global environment and is able to be comfortable translating and conveying complex regulatory topics to internal and external stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assess incoming inquiries from customer facing colleagues and provide a response that may be shared with the customer based on available documentation and information while managing risk to the business. • Coordinate with cross functional teams to assess and prepare responses. • Lead/participate in discussions on the company's regulatory and quality position on customer relevant topics. • Support the CIDS platform (Quality and Regulatory document control system) by acting as one the Business Administrators and support colleagues in access and navigation of the system. • Read and assess draft regulations for business impact and working with cross-functional business partners to comment on proposed regulations. • Provide advice and regulatory interpretations to co-workers in other regulatory, quality, or production areas. • Set-up, organize, and lead limited Regulatory-Quality related projects. • Educate on relevant topics as necessary and offer open communication for more transparency and increased customer satisfaction. • Perform other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or other natural science, an advanced degree, master's or PhD is preferred • Knowledge of chemical regulations such as REACH, TSCA, PFAS, Conflict Minerals • Knowledge of standards such as Halal, Kosher, GMPs, RSPO • Knowledge of Food Contact regulations, FIFRA highly preferred • Understanding of Quality Management Systems • Strong analytical and communication skills are required • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and regions • Experience with a global organization is strongly preferred • 3+ years of experience in Regulatory or Quality • PCQI highly preferred • Ability to travel 5%, including international travel • Ability to stand, speak, and sit for extended periods of time • Ability to wear a headset and operator office equipment. • Ability to interact with other colleagues.
