We are currently seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Counsel to join our team on a remote basis. As a key member of our Regulatory Compliance team, you will play a crucial role in driving various regulatory compliance processes, reviewing deals, and maintaining licenses for our services. Role Overview We are looking for a seasoned Regulatory Compliance Counsel with 10+ years of experience in law firms or as in-house counsel. The successful candidate will have a strong background in regulatory and compliance areas, with expertise in designing and implementing compliance programs. As a Global Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of regulatory compliance professionals, providing guidance and support on complex regulatory matters. Key Responsibilities • Manage and supervise the allocation of work and delegation of tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective workload management. • Conduct quality analysis of regulatory reviews prepared by team members, providing feedback and coaching to ensure high-quality deliverables. • Assist in coordinating activities, managing workload, and planning organizational adjustments in the team, ensuring seamless execution of regulatory compliance processes. • Deliver global training and help build key relationships with business and internal teams, as well as global stakeholders, to promote regulatory compliance awareness and best practices. • Independently conduct regulatory reviews for various offerings under the scope of the team, recognizing issues and providing timely escalation to team leads, in-country counsels, or appropriate stakeholders. • Manage medium to high complexity regulatory reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and market trends. • Direct communication with business teams and internal stakeholders regarding specific regulatory matters, providing guidance and support as needed. • Act as an escalation point for issues related to regulatory reviews and other similar processes, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing risk. • Interact with external counsel, manage ongoing research requests, and conduct internal research projects, ensuring outcomes are delivered in an agreed-upon format. • Prepare presentations, email templates, and newsletters, as well as elaborate, compare, and refresh guidance documents to support regulatory compliance efforts. Essential Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in law from a recognized institution. • Minimum of 10+ years of experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel, with experience in regulatory and compliance areas. • Good knowledge of relevant regulations and market trends, with expertise in designing and implementing compliance programs. • Management experience in a corporate legal department or law firm, with experience in driving complex multi-national projects and deals. • Fluency in English, with strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Compliance-related global professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CCO). • Experience in managing outside counsels on complex multi-national transactions. • Knowledge of company offerings and function-specific services performed. • Proficiency in bolthires Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Skills and Competencies • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Demonstrated autonomy, taking ownership, and driving tasks to closure. • Ability to work in a remote environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. • Strong time management and prioritization skills, with ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
