[Remote] 100% Remote - AWS Cloud Engineer (F-5085)

Myticas Consulting is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to support a direct client by designing, developing, and maintaining AWS-based applications and infrastructure in a 100% remote W2 contract role. In this position, you will work with a major U.S. organization in a highly regulated environment, building modern cloud-native solutions on AWS. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain moderately complex to complex AWS-based systems, applications, and solutions • Write high-quality, secure code following disciplined development practices, including documentation, source control, and maintenance • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab) to improve development efficiency, testing coverage, and release quality • Build and maintain containerized and serverless workloads on AWS (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3) using Terraform for infrastructure-as-code • Develop and maintain application features using Java and modern front-end technologies (Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript) • Implement and execute automated test cases in partnership with QA to ensure application quality and stability • Lead installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations of software and systems across environments, improving reliability, security, and performance • Participate in peer code reviews and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Skills • Must be based in the United States and able to work 100% remotely in a W2 capacity; must be able to obtain and maintain ANACI clearance (2-step background check) • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial cloud-based development • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including ECS containers and serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, and S3 • Professional experience using Terraform for infrastructure-as-code on AWS • Strong experience developing applications using Java and modern front-end technologies such as Angular with TypeScript/JavaScript • Hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, specifically Oracle and DynamoDB • Experience using GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines • Experience working in Agile or SAFe software development environments • Background implementing automated testing frameworks and writing automated test cases • Experience leading installation, configuration, upgrades, or migrations of software systems across multiple environments • Strong collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and adaptability skills Company Overview • HiringAgents.ai is an AI recruitment team, delivering best in class candidates at record speed.
