Our client is pioneering the future of agriculture and is seeking a highly qualified Remote Agronomist and Sustainable Agriculture Specialist to join their forward-thinking team. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within the US while focusing on advancing sustainable farming practices. You will play a crucial role in advising clients, developing innovative strategies for crop management, soil health, and environmental stewardship, and promoting resource-efficient agricultural solutions. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert agronomic advice and technical support to farmers and agricultural businesses on sustainable practices. Develop customized crop management plans focusing on soil health, nutrient management, water conservation, and integrated pest management (IPM). Research, evaluate, and recommend innovative technologies and methodologies for improving farm productivity and environmental sustainability. Analyze soil, plant, and water data to diagnose issues and formulate effective solutions. Educate clients on the benefits and implementation of organic farming, regenerative agriculture, precision farming, and other sustainable approaches. Stay abreast of the latest research, trends, and regulations in agronomy and sustainable agriculture. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and implement pilot projects and best practices. Prepare reports, presentations, and educational materials for clients and stakeholders. Contribute to the development of online resources and knowledge bases related to sustainable agriculture. Monitor and assess the environmental impact of agricultural practices, recommending mitigation strategies. Champion the adoption of practices that enhance biodiversity and ecosystem services on farms. Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Science, Agricultural Science, or a closely related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in agronomy, with a strong emphasis on sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices. Demonstrated knowledge of soil fertility, crop physiology, pest and disease management, and water management. Experience with precision agriculture technologies and data analysis is highly desirable. Excellent understanding of environmental science principles related to agriculture. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical information. Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Familiarity with relevant agricultural software and data management tools. A passion for sustainable food systems and environmental stewardship.
